We've come to the end of Project Sunshine and what an experience it's been!

Thanks to generous WaterAid supporters, life is drastically different for the pupils at Lubunda School. The days when girls would stay home and miss out on vital lessons because of their periods are a distant memory. Now, they’re ruling the school and thinking about their future.

A lack of proper toilets affects everyone, but especially girls, who often miss out on education because they don’t have somewhere safe and private to go to the loo at school. Thanks to our support, this is changing.

In 2014/15, thanks to the generous support it received, WaterAid reached a massive 2 million people with safe water. That’s 2 million people whose lives will never be the same again.

It’s that time of year; the nights are getting longer and the days wetter. Summer seems a distant memory, which is all the more reason to spread some sunshine of our own.
